I became a Baby Care Specialist because I genuinely love those early weeks with a new baby - the tenderness of it, the exhausted joy of it, all of it. For over a decade, I've gone into family homes across London and beyond, and supported parents through those first bewildering, beautiful days of life with a newborn.
And after 14 years of doing that job, I've come to know something that most brands, influencers, and well-meaning friends don't: what actually gets used, and what doesn't.
I have unpacked more prams, use more carriers and watched more beautifully marketed products gather dust on more shelves than I can count. I've seen the Moses basket that worked brilliantly and the £300 version that was abandoned in week two. I've watched parents battle with poorly placed changing stations at 3am. I've seen what happens when a nursery is thoughtfully set up - and I've seen what happens when it isn't.
That experience is what I built La Bebe Maison on.
La Bebe Maison is London's first dedicated nursery preparation service. I created it because I kept seeing the same thing: expecting parents who were smart, intentional, and genuinely trying to make good decisions — completely overwhelmed by an industry that profits from their uncertainty.
The baby retail world is full of noise. Sponsored content. "Must-have" lists written by people who've never actually lived with the products. Brands that rely on first-time parent anxiety to sell things people don't need.
I wanted to offer something different: an expert with real experience, no brand allegiances, and a genuine commitment to telling you the truth — even when the truth is "you don't need that."
Every client I work with gets the same promise: I will not recommend a product that isn't worth your money, and I will not recommend a more expensive option just because I think you should spend more. My only agenda is getting you to your due date feeling calm, organised, and genuinely prepared.
